Really nice park with hell marked trail but no visitor center or way to know where the trails begin or end. We had to turn back before we reached the end for not knowing where we'd end up. If you have a whole day and no timetable maybe you can hike the whole trail.
Be careful and have a good map. There are multiple trails so its easy to get lost . DO NOT bring pets. Why? Public pig hunting is allowed with hunting dogs. Occasionally the pig dogs kill pets on the trail.
This hike has a wonderful view and the hike is not as hard as you might think. While you hike you get to see all of the beautiful nature around you.
Awesome. take your time. only the first part is steep for about .4 miles. Mt bike trails only abovethe pill box. Great day. Much of hike is somewhat shade covered.
It's an easy hike to the pill boxes. However you can journey through the woods for miles on mail you flat large paths. Greater for running and mountain biking. No epic views. If it was in my backyard I'd do it more often, living in manoa has spoiled me with all the cool waterfall hikes.
