The "natural" air conditioning is not nearly enough to keep cool inside the house in June. All of the vegetation around the house also cuts down on the breezes. If you are somewhat spoiled by air conditioning, you have to leave the house. Roosters are roaming all over and will do their thing at any and all hours of the day, not to mention the chickens clucking. And then there are the beach bums that sleep in tents close to the house and will come up to the house to use the outdoor shower. One threatened to kill us when we asked him to leave. It's a beautiful island, but I won't be staying here again.
