Hands down the BEST Mexican food on the island. Living in Cali with some of the best Mexican food, I was hesitant to try. But this place did not disappoint. The food is authentic, delicious, fresh, and made with aloha (love). There is plenty of cozy seating, umbrellas to give shade after a dip in the ocean, or sit under the stars at dinner time. Enjoy the charm of the North Shore. The food makes you come but the warmth of the staff makes you stay. We love Surf n Salsa!
I haven't been to any other food truck on Oahu, but the food here is awesome. It's all fresh, not sure if it's locally sourced, but it is delicious. I had the Chipotle burrito, and it is heavy enough to clobber a person with, and that's good thing. It's a great balance between a slight heat, a great tone with bacon, and fantastic blend of other herbs, spices, and vegetables. This spot is a must-stop.
Really good food. We had a mix of burritos and tacos and the flavors and freshness were all excellent. The downside was they got completely overwhelmed when we ordered on a Friday night and it took about 75 minutes to get our food. Waiting with hungry restless kids in a gravel parking lot is tiring. To their credit the owner was giving out salsa and chips and beans and rice to tide over patrons while the kitchen was catching up. Normally that would dip this down into the 2 or 3 star range but the food was really good and they did try to make the wait bearable.
Amazing food. Fresh, very tasty and enough! It depends on what time you want to eat but there is always a free place.
The food here is legit. I had the tacos (Pork, Chicken, Shrimp) and was very happy with my meal selection. My wife had the enchiladas and was equally happy. The salsa is superb. "It was Bomb!!" - Queen Wildcat
