Big Wave Shrimp has a firm place on my list of places to be never visited again. I fancied some garlic shrimp but Giovanni's Food Truck had an enormous line so we decided to give this place a try instead. $60 later we received plates of cold shrimp, doused with some kind of oil , definitely not butter, and soggy, tasteless garlic-like stuff on top. My husband returned the plates because I like my food cold, only to get it back just as cold. Very disappointed, both at the quality of food and the price. $60 would get us really good meal at a restaurant, and I am still trying to forget the taste of this shrimp. Travelers, be aware. Stay away.
Garlic shrimp was delicious! Big and juicy! I don't get why people aren't lining up for this place instead! I liked this place more than Giovanni's. Shrimp wasn't as dry.
Extremely disappointed. The food definitely didn’t meet our expectations. What we expected was shrimp in butter and crispy garlic and the lemon pepper shrimp seasoned with lemon and pepper. What we received was previously boiled (I think) lukewarm shrimp that had some sort of oil pored on it (definitely not butter) with brown, soggy, tasteless imitation of garlic. Two scoops of rice and a couple leafs of lettuce with nasty dressing. The lemon pepper shrimp was seasoned with some sort of lemon-like artificial seasoning. I have this weird affection for hot food, and I returned my dish. I got it back a couple minutes later just as lukewarm as I it was.

Extremely disappointed. $60 for mediocre food for the 5 of us, food that didn’t event taste good. Still trying to get the taste out. If you like cold shrimp covered with old oil and soggy garlic this is your place.

We tried Big wave and Giovanni's and we LOVED Big Wave! We tried the garlic and spicy shrimp and both were tasty and the shrimp were big and juicy. Also much friendlier service here. We will go back!
Amazing garlic shrimp!!! Good portions and very nice lady who owns it!!! We arrived a few mins before they closed and she stayed open a little longer to make sure we got to try the food. Was not disappointed!!! Would go back again before we leave, Guy wasn't wrong to feature this food truck on Triple D!!!
