Just the incredible and memorable trees are enough to make this park a must-visit, let alone the wide variety of flowers. The air here is intoxicating at times with floral scent. Swimming hole with falls at the end of the walk is unique. (Life vests required and provided.). A few remnants of ancient houses to see. Jungle-like at times. Beauty at every turn. This is a paved walk that is not strenuous.
I'm not so much into any cultural history, but just the nature itself is already worth visiting this spot!
The admission fee was a little steep but it was nice to contribute to the preservation of this place. They had a nice gift shop and a few places to eat. We explored the area quite extensively but since it was such a huge place we didn’t get to see everything. Bug spray is a must! Loved the scenery. We enjoyed viewing wildlife and exotic plants.
Just beautiful
I've had this type of date in other parts of the world before: a classy girl, pretty and well maintained. Was a little disappointed to see Miss Waimea Valley still in her pyjamas, smoking a cigarette and drinking bourbon straight up. 'Take your shoes off' she said. 'We're not going anywhere'. So I did and ended up quite enjoying my $16 worth.
If you are in Oahu, you need to come here and walk to Waimea falls. Such a beautiful nature. That is the forest I've always imagined of when reading Jule Verne. Gorgeous plants. I literally wish I could build a house there))
Very nice!! This is a must visit this place on your Hawaiian islands vacation to check out all of the native plants, flowers and tropical foliage. There are native huts to view how they lived centuries ago. There is also a beautiful waterfall which if you are lucky, you will be able to swim near and under. Bring your swim suit and a change of clothes if you'd like to swim near the waterfall(I highly recommend it). This is a reasonably priced attraction located on the north shore of Oahu Hawaii..
Must go place!
And if you like history, there's a bonus for you.
