Don't waste your time with this company!
We had a charter with Matt on the "Deep Sea" and had a great time. The water was very rough, and the fish were being stubborn but they stayed with it, (even keeping us out past our alloted time) making sure we caught some fish and didnt come home empty handed. I'd recommend his boat to anyone!!
Total Bush League Operation! Booked a full day charter with Monica on a Wednesday for the following Sunday on the boat Lai C. Paid deposit and received confirmation along with a follow up email with directions to boat, instructions to call Capt. Chris Parker the night before trip, along with Chupu's policies. No show policy let me know if I cancelled I was on hook for total cost of trip.
Called Chris early Saturday evening as instructed, no answer so I left a message. Figured it was Saturday and from my experience with charters, captain and crew would be waiting for us in morning as laid out in confirmation email. Three of us got up at 4 AM to get ready and drive an hour across island. Got to marina, no boat, no captain. Called Chris two more times, no answers, left message. Waited more than a hour. When another company came to pick up their clients for the day I asked if he knew anything about the Lai C. Pointed to the Lai C that was up on a trailer with a blown motor and he said it had been like that for a couple of weeks.
Fair is Fair. Maybe Chupu Charters can send me a check for a $1000 no show fee like their policy reads. Sure messed up a precious day of vacation for myself and family.
Capt. Hopper and his mates are definitely some passionate fishermen! They aim to catch fish and acommodate there clients in a professional way!! This guy's loves to fish and so do i!! Thank you capt. Hopper and uluuu_y and alinainthewild. Best fishing trip ever!!
I have been out on the deep sea 3 different times and have always caught a lot of fish. I have been on a lot of charters and these guys are the some of the best. They always put you on the fish. There attitude is great they love catching fish and it shows. This last time out we caught 10 otaro tuna,13 mahi mahi and a blue marlin about 125lb. Can't say enough about these guys. I fish alot and this was my best experience ever. Thanks guys! See you next year.
Not a good experience. We booked 7 months prior to the trip. On the day of, we found out that our trip was double booked. We were then taken out on someone else's boat (not what we had booked) and drove around for several hours. Just felt like we didn't get what we paid $1,000 for.
