I saw Dr. Bjornson for 2 years before moving off island. He listened to me, and he really cared how I did. I had seen several psychiatrists who said I'd never feel like myself again and I should settle for "okay most of the time," so they wouldn't adjust my medications. Dr. Bjornson wasn't willing to settle until I was doing as well as I could possibly be doing. He also didn't want me taking medications I didn't need or that would be counterproductive, so he adjusted my medications in a careful and measured way. Seeing Dr Bjornson really improved my quality of life.
