FAVE North Shore beach. Great photos, rocks for ur kids to climb, cozy beach but not crowded. Wasn't there for long, but my family really enjoyed the cleanliness and serene feeling. The monk seal was cute, too!
Have to love a place that delivers a 90kg turtle just in time for us. Nice volunteers there to chat to as we waited for the main attraction.
Laniakea Beach (aka Turtle Beach) did not disappoint! Beautiful sandy beach, big surf, and even a couple turtles! Don’t miss the cool graffiti/ street art under the bridge near the lifeguard tower.
Waves are great, but seeing turtles seems like pretty rare event. We spend about an hour walking along the beach (which is beautiful, no doubt btw), very few people, surfers, fishers... Sand is really nice, but you won't build a sand castle there because the beach itself is kind a short in wide and waves takes all the space. There is no wind Wich is also nice addition.
It is perfect for a stop by visit but do not go just for it. We went to the Dole plantation first and then decided to visit this beach. Parking is hard and the beach is small. However it's fun to see a turtle napping on the rock and a few floating close to the shore. There was a staff member answering your questions. Very helpful.
