Dr Amano is the best I have ever seen. He really listens, diagnoses right and effectively treats. Always with his laptop in hand. Knows the latest in medicines and illnesses. Takes his time - not the usual 20 minute rush. Front desk staff is great too - maybe a little slow with referrals but quick with suggestions on alternatives such as acupuncture which I tried and found to be a great addition to my care plan. My husband feels the same. We lived nearby when we went there and thought it was only for prescription refills but we were so impressed he is now our primary and we are no spring chickens!
The 40 minute drive to his office is well worth it! If he leaves there we would follow (as long as he stays on the island) :-) Thank you Dr. Amano and staff!
Drs Suzuka, Agsalda, Teruya and Goh have all taken care of my family and I and we have nothing but good things to say about their medical care and expertise. In addition, the staff at HFHC is great. There aren't a whole lot of good primary care doctors willing to serve Central Oahu and the North Shore. If you are unhappy with the care, maybe you can drive into town and fight the traffic and the lousy parking. My family is staying with HFHC.
That clinic is a scam. They use different ways to charge more money of the patients. I will never go to that clinic again.
Incompetent and cold, Goh is the worst physician I have visited. She misdiagnosed my skin condition (resulting in scarring) which was later remedied by her supervising physician. She showed no concern or empathy and spent little time trying to properly diagnose. Her main focus was asking me endless questions to determine whether or not I am a drug addict as opposed to treating the symptoms for which I came to see her. I have left her 3 voicemails in an attempt to get a previous prescription refilled and she has not had the decency to call me back. My rating is strictly of her and not the other persons working at Haleiwa Family Health Center.
