We stopped in today and were excited about this place. We were STARVING after a morning of surfing. After 5 minutes and not one person even acknowledging we were at the table I got up and grabbed a couple menus. After another 10 minutes, still no one one came to our table, actively avoided making eye contact and still no acknowledgement by any staff person. We got up and walked out. We are pretty patient people and I can appreciate 'Island time' but felt like there was some reason we were NOT welcome in the this dive bar. Very odd place.
Good people and they really do their best! I sat at the bar. Had a cold draft and some eats. Food was delicious. A man not from Oahu, was drunk and acting obnoxious. The waitresses handled it really well and helped him settle down. Was really impressed. I gave her a hug because she was shaking. She thanked me and I paid for my bill. My job was done. Had to go help someone else. Highly recommend if your in the area.
We went here on Christmas, so I understand that it is a busy and hectic night for the restaurant. But my boyfriend ordered a poke bowl, and it took about an hour to come, (which is ok I understand it is busy on Christmas), but when the server brought it out she said they ran out of all the ingredients except for fish, and gave him a bowl filled only with raw fish. Nothing else. He had 2 pieces and couldn’t stomach any more... and it was pretty pricey. Yike
Service was great. Food was pretty good. Wife had the vegetable pasta and it was very oily, but I had the fish tacos and they were great
In a brief statement I must say ....one of the best owned establishment in Haleiwa....the owners went out of there way to cater to my heritage and made my experience grand. Thank you so much, the food was great and the atmosphere was positive vibes ....a definite must stop to have a drink and a quick bite ....Thank you so so much
